Grand Arcade is one of Cambridge’s most modern and yet stylish shopping destinations. It blends a mix of classic style with cutting edge retail, not to mention a healthy portion of trendy places to eat and drink. Along side such high street favourites as Topshop and a landmark John Lewis, Grand Arcade is also home to some of Cambridge’s newest retail outlets, such as Apple and Swarovski. Amongst the wide variety of brand stores is a mosaic of chic boutiques, 2 cafés and a restaurant.

Inside Grand Arcade
Lion Yard Centre is right next to the every day market, and is a busy, bustling modern shopping venue. It has recently been revamped and now looks 21st century with its beautiful glasswork roof. It is very well equipped with all the shops you would expect to find – and a few more that are worth having a look in to find some bargains. It even contains some smaller custom outlets exclusive to Cambridge. Beware however, it is a very busy place so only the bravest of shoppers should attempt a whole day there in peak times of the year!

University memorabilia is on offer throughout the city, of course, but one of the best bits about Cambridge shopping is the amazing backdrops you get whilst walking around! The sight of King’s College, the old architecture and cobbled streets are really something – all in all it provides a great shopping experience.
